REQUIEMENTS:

• To remain in the magnet program, you need to KEEP at least a 2.5 GPA. If you drop below a 2.5 GPA for a 9 weeks, you will be placed on Academic Probation for the following 9 weeks, which will be an opportunity to improve your GPA. These requirements are the same to get into a magnet high school.

6TH GRADERS:

• YES! Your 6th grade year counts for applying for a high school! When applying for high school your 8th grade year, you will not have a full semester of grades to use on your application. 

​

8TH GRADERS:

• In the fall semester (Starting in October) you will need to apply for high school. This will help your chances of getting into the school of your choice. Even though you are in magnet now, you still need to apply. 

​

CLASSWORK/HOMEWORK:

• Teacher provide classwork to go along with each lesson. Teacher are also required to give homework and you are required to complete homework.

​

STUDY HALL:

• Our magnet program provides study hall for our DATA students. It is Monday - Thursday until 4pm. Students need to be picked up by 4:00pm. After three late pick up, you will be asked not to stay.

​

PROJECT NIGHTS:

• Project Nights are required. Attendance and participation are for a grade and at least one driving adult needs to attend with you. We ask you to dress in Sunday's best to present. (No Jeans)
